1-8 March The Gold Coast
8 whole nights in one place! No setups! No Packdowns! No long drives! And Sunshine! And Themeparks! Awesome!
We pulled into the Gold Coast Holiday Park full of anticipation, this was a stop we had been looking forward to all trip… Friends who had travelled through couple of years ago had regaled us with tales of tropical fish tanks and chandeliers in the bathrooms, resort style swimming pools and more! It didn’t disappoint, it really was the perfect mid-trip break location, thanks Colin & Jenette!
We arranged to check in early and setup camp so everything could dry out from the previous nights drenching and then spent the rest of the day shopping, getting organised for the week and chilling in the pool.
Blu also got a new set of side steps from a Gumtree guy who was just around the corner from the park. After his hard work and effort through the High Country, he had earned them!
My parents had given us 4 Park Unlimited Passes to Movie World, Seaworld, Wet ‘n Wild and Paradise Country for Christmas, so most of the week was spent bouncing from one park to another trying out all the rides and attractions and having a great time!
While we were paused, we also visited the GC Caravan and Camping Show, caught up with longtime family friends Bruce & Nita at Southport Church of Christ, visited the beach and the kids went to Brigades at Reedy Creek Baptist Church.
As we were jumping from theme park to theme park and went to each multiple times (sometimes 2 or more in a day) and we don’t want to bore you with the same details over and over, the next few posts will cover our hilights from each park, without worrying too much about timelines.
We also set ourselves a special mission for our last day there, so stay tuned to see what we got up to!
